Political Parties

A Political Party is a group of people who have the same ideas and share the same candidate interest. Two of the more common political parties are the Republicans and Democrats. Republicans have a trend of liking conservative point of views while Democrats have more of a liberal point of view.

In the picture above you can see that for the vote for House of Representatives that the majority of the map is covered with red but it only totals up with a number of 199. The blue isn't as dominant over the span of the map but they totaled the number of 235. The reason that the Democrats have a higher number because they had a higher population. There are red states like Montana and North and South Dakota that make it look like Republicans should have a high number but there isnt many people living in them so its easy for everyone to come to an agreement on one candidate. But states like California have a much high population in one area.
