Interest Groups

So how I see an Interest group is like animals that beg for things. They are constantly bugging you about getting what they want and they normally don't stop until they get what they want. An interest group is different organizations that want to get laws to be passed so they go to capitals and wait for someone apart of the Congress or someone who can influence a law to be passed and constantly ask them to vote or support the cause that they are fighting for. Interest groups also sometimes bribe those same people by donating money to their campaign for reelection.

In the screenshot to the right you can tell that planned parenthood is more liberal because they talk about Mike Pence who is apart of the Republican party and how he wanted to defund planned parenthood. Mike Pence is a conservative who is very Christian and believes very strongly that having an abortion is killing a life. In the second paragraph the author talks more about how people have been trying to have the shutdown. Someone that they used to help their cause was President Barack Obama who is a liberal. The point of this section was to show people that even though they have multiple different groups against them that they will keep trying to help people and debunk anything that people falsely say about them and that they are not what people are trying to make them out to be.
